Hi!! :) My name is Rebeccah... I am a very happy person and I like to take life easy and enjoy the moment... I like to meet new people, learn about new cultures and see new things, eat good food, play the ukulele, paint, read and laugh! I like to fill my life with interesting experiences and I also like to challenge myself .. I try to surround myself with positive people, who i can joke and have interesting conversations with :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I travel I like to meet local people who can provide me with new ways of looking at the world and who can show me a bit of their culture.. in my experience, it is important not to just meet like-minded people (like those also travelling and who you can meet in hostels) but people from all walks of life who can teach you understanding and tolerance in your everyday life.. I like the concept of giving out of genuinely wanting to share your culture or your home, and the fact that tools like couchsurfing are giving people all around the world with less money the freedom to travel. At the moment I don't have a permanent address in England, but when I do, I really want to return the favour :)

Interests

Watching live music, meeting new people, hanging out with friends, being in nature and outdoors, hiking, running, reading, history, philosophy, partying, travelling, painting, playing the ukulele, Russian history!!! Too much.. haha

I love all music... reggae, psychedelic rock from the 1960's, techno, house, rock, world music (Ghanaian high life is my favorite) and Brazilian music (Novos Baianos!!)...

Books.. Fathers and Sons/First Love - Turgenev, Anna Karenina -Tolstoy, A Picture of Dorian Gray - Oscar Wilde, A pig that wants to be eaten by Julian Baggini..
