ABOUT ME

I'm a voracious traveler who is curious about the world we live in and excited to meet new people of different cultures. I feel it's a vital means to facilitate cultural understanding and to open one's mind to the beauty and diversity of our world.

I currently work in the hospitality industry as a Tour Director in the U.S. during the spring and summer months and freeing up my winter for traveling and various other activities. Below is a map of the nations I've visited thus far. It's more than what it seems because I've been to much of the Caribbean.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is too short to be pissed off all the time. Life is too short to lament about what could have been when we should be thankful for what is.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm participating by crashing on others' couches, allowing me the opportunity to meet new people and to experience a destination with a local. I currently do own a home, but as of now, isn't quite ready to host guests just yet.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Although it has been three years since I last couch surfed, it was an enjoyable experience and I recommend trying it out, especially in a nation where you don't speak the primary language.

Interessi

I love to travel and will do so at any opportunity. I am blessed to have begun a career in the tourism industry that will allow me to travel and make a living doing so. I also enjoy food - a lot. Probably a bit too much for my own good. Photography has become another passion of mine and I hope to do a little freelance work during my travels. I also enjoy reading, painting (which I plan to resume soon), listening to music and going to shows/concerts, and the little things in life.

Musica, film e libri

I can enjoy most movies so long as either the plot is good or it's so bad I can make fun of it. Music wise, I love most forms of rock 'n' roll, a healthy dose of jazz, some good ol' Texas country, a little ska and reggae, and an ecclectic mix of anything and everything in between.
