About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Meet interesting people on my travels.

ABOUT ME

I love outdoor activities (soccer, ultimate, hiking, camping, biking). I have a BS in environmental chemistry, but work as an analyst/software engineer for Freddie Mac. I grew up in the Burlington, VT area, and work remotely from VT. I travel to Tysons Corner, VA quarterly for work. I speak english and some Spanish, and I love music from around the world. Im passionate about building strong communities and protecting our natural resources. I love traveling and meeting new people...you never know who you'll meet!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting new people, and checking out new places. I'm interested in more authentic experiences than you can get traveling by car and staying in hotels...

Music, Movies, and Books

I like quality music and lyrics, not too picky about genre. I like music about kindness, happiness, and sometimes things more serious. I'm a fan of a cappella music. I've seen Pentatonix perform 3 times. Pandora stations I have listened to this week: Paul Simon, 70's light rock, Yanni, Bela Fleck & The Fleckstones, John Butler Trio/Dave Matthews Band, Jack Johnson, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most rewarding thing I've done is to work with young soccer players as a rec and club coach, as well as a referee. I love watching them learn and grow as players and people. The families are pretty amazing too. The most amazing thing I think I've done is help organize our family's bi-annual Thanksgiving dinner with as many as 100 family members attending some years. I also visited a remote community in Costa Rica on a HS exchange program and helped carry student desks up a mountain on our backs in the pouring rain...will never forget that!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to teach and learn and share. I know a lot about soccer, injury rehabilitation (from personal experience), team collaboration and communications, listening, etc.

What I Can Share with Hosts

You'll find me to be relaxed and interested in almost anything. I enjoy throwing a disc, watching random videos online, swapping stories from travels or just life.
