One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Visiting Tokyo, Japan as a Kid:

Lucky to live in places around the world. One of my memories as a kid (12 years old) was going to Tokyo, Japan and visiting a shopping district called the "Ginza". It has an underground city. If you are familiar with city subways...then imagine that but it spans the whole city underground with restaurants, bars, mini hotels and whatever imaginable. People actually live down there too. It is really an underground city. Pretty amazing. I remember it vividly.

Alaska Fishing Trip:

Fishing in Alaska was a memorable trip when I was living in Fairbanks, Alaska when I was in the US Army. We traveled to Seward, Alaska to go fishing. Went out on a boat into the ocean and caught what looked like the world's biggest "flounder". It is called a "halibut". It weighed 90 pounds. No kidding. We had these giant fishing poles and the fishing hooks were really big. We put a giant sardine on it to catch them. I thought my hook was stuck on the bottom of the ocean and I pulled as hard as I could...then it started to come up...thinking that it came loose, but then it started to pull down really hard. Wow...I got a fish. And when I pulled it up I said what the hell is that big ugly fish. Our fishing guide said that it was a "halibut". Will never forget that "giant crossed eyes ugly fish".
