I'm intending to complete an Economics PhD, with a focus on poverty and inequality research, because I'm still naïve enough to think I can help leave this world a bit better than I found it. I love to read about everything, and I have an endless stream of random facts about the most obscure topics. I hope to travel the world someday, so I want to learn plenty of languages to be ready. When I'm not working, I'm most at home in the great outdoors hiking, biking, or rafting.

Music: All over the place, I currently have everything between Stevie Wonder and Stevie Nicks in my vinyl collection. If I had pinpoint a genre I lean toward, it'd probably be post-punk/garage rock (the Strokes, the Hives, Arctic Monkeys, etc.)

Movies: Again, all over the place, off the top of my head, the last great movie I saw would probably be The Hateful Eight. In general m a big fan of classic cinema, Martin Scorsese, and Stanley Kubrick.

Books: Like I said, I love to read just about everything. Recently, I have been reading about world political history and existentialist philosophy. Currently reading "The Myth of Sisyphus" by Albert Camus
