I have just finished year 12 at International Grammar School and decided that I did not want to go straight into University and instead learn about other cultures, how the world works outside of my sheltered Sydney life, and what the rest of the world is like. Religion also interests me however I am not religious.
I applied for University however once I got accepted into the course I differed it, meaning i start it in autumn of 2018. The course I will be studying is 'Public Communications at the University of Technology Sydney. To save up for my travels I was working in a Landscape Architecture Firm called James Mather Delany Design. I then got offered a paid internship at a marketing company called The Conversion Group after talking to the boss while surfing.
I am a keen surfer and have done my Surf Life Saving course at Maroubra, a couple of beaches down from Bondi. I also used to play hockey however decided to focus more on surfing after I got hit in the head with the hockey ball and needed 4 stitches to my eye, fractured my nose and got knocked out. I plan to travel to Indonesia (South Sumatra, and Bali) and then to Europe. I hope to be in Europe for 9 Months, or from June 2017 till February 2018.
I am always willing to help clean up and aid with chores. I am good with children (I did babysitting throughout my neighborhood all through high-school to earn money). Outgoing and friendly (this is really weird complementing myself this much) I am easy to get along with. I am also more than willing to reciprocate the hospitality once i am in Australia again, so if you ever feel like a holiday by the beautiful Australian Beaches then i would be more than willing to let you stay with me in Australia.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am Couchsurfing primarily to experience the rest of the world from a less touristy perspective and therefore really understand what other cultures are truely like and how people from different countries live in relation to my lifestyle in Australia.
I had a Spanish exchange student stay with me in 2015 for 3 weeks and i really enjoyed, we have regularly kept in contact. I would like to make more of these friendships which would in turn make my travels a lot more interesting and insightful. Plus it would be great to not spend huge amounts of money on hospitality.

My favourite music artist is Tame Impala although there are so many good artists out there. The type of music I listen to is probably classified as Indie Pop but i'm not too sure.
Favourite movie is hard but my favourite TV show would have to be Vikings.
My favourite book would be To Kill A Mockingbird or Barbarian Days.
