About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Meet as many nice people as I can. Mainly for future couch surfing experiences, but also because I I currenlty live alone in Belo Horizonte and it would be nice to make new friends in a new place!

ABOUT ME

Hum... I guess my main purpose in life is to learn new things and have fun!
If I could, I'd be at a bar everyday, just hanging with friends and talking about life, the Universe and everything else... I love to listen to people's life stories and opinions...
I absolutely love to travel and see new places. Though I've only had the opportunity to visit brazilian cities and Florida, there are about a thousand places I wish I could visit. I'm always interested in knowing new places (not just big cities) and meeting new, interesting and smart people... Specially crazy and slightly non-sense people!
I've just moved out of my parent's house and moved to another city to study. Though I miss home like crazy, I'm loving it! You really grow a lot when you're on your own...
My biggest passions in life are Music and art!
I can't go a day without listening to music... People say I was born with headphones glued to my ears...
Going do Belo Horizonte to study arts was, by far, the best thing I have ever done. In 9 months I've learned more than I've learned in my whole life. About drawing, painting, history and life itself.
I'm museum buff. I wish I could visit every art museum in the world and, someday, go to Delft and sit on the porch of the guy who owns most of the Vermeer paintings... I'll camp there until he let's me in to see them!
Also, I'm a big Bookworm! I'm passionate about learning and I'll read anything you put in my hands (as long as it's not self-help or Paulo Coelho).
I wish I could speak every language known to mankind (and those who were forgotten by it).

And, as you can see, I LOVE to talk! I'm always blabbing...

PHILOSOPHY

I don't think a have one...
I just try to enjoy life as much as I can, through all the difficulties and unexpected situations...
I'm always trying to treat people kindly and help with anything I can, cause that's how I'd like people to act towards me...
The best I can say about my life philosophy is that I'm always trying to learn, grow and do what I think is right for me, without fear or regrets, and not get in the way of others.

Music, Movies, and Books

I've blabbed enough on my description, so I'll be brief:

Music:
Dave Matthews band, Fiona Apple, Beatles, Elliott Smith, Ella Fitzgerald, Wilco, Smashing Pumpkins, Sinatra, Sahara Hotnights, Feist, Weezer, Stones, The Zombies, Black Crowes... Too many!

Movies:
The Wizard of Oz, anything by Sofia Coppola, Tim Burton, Alfred Hitchcock, Hayao Myiazaki, Kevin Smith, Cameron Crowe, David Lynch, John Waters, Orson Welles, Quentin Tarantino, Robert Rodriguez... And I LOVE classic Hollywood pictures.

Books: Anything! From Harry Potter to Kafka! Douglas Adams and Neil Gaiman are big favorites! If it's not Paulo Coelho or self-help books, I'll give it a go... Comic books!!! My nerdy dark side comes alive...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It may not matter much to people but, for me, the most amazing thing I've seen was an original Rembrandt drawing, about an inch from my nose...
Some people don't appreciate it much, but it sure brought tears to my eyes...

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't know if I have much to teach anyone, but I'm always ready to learn...
