ABOUT ME

PHILOSOPHY

I wish to always work on becoming a better person by being grateful, forgiving, loving, focusing on the good, being patient, putting myself in others shoes instead of judging them, taking the best care of myself possible, and treating people with respect, kindness, and appreciation. Obviously, I am human, which is why I will always be "working on" these things; even though keeping them in mind certainly goes a long way toward achieving them.
If something "bad" happens "to" me, there is quite likely something I have done to land in that predicament. It is useless to place blame, for in most cases I cannot change others (or particular situations). Therefore, it is much better to figure out what I can do differently, or better, next time, to avoid the unpleasant thing. This is a good frame of mind to keep, for there is more power in accepting responsibility than in blaming. Favorite quote "Be the change you wish to see in the world" Ghandi
In addition, I have also found that, in many cases, something wonderful happens after a supposed "bad" thing, which couldn't have happened if that "bad" thing hadn't happened). So when things are looking grim, it's a good idea to say to myself... hmmmmm... something wonderful must be about to happen. This may sound quite hokey, but I kid you not, something amazing has followed something "horrible" in my life multiple times. Enough times that it now truly helps me to get through the yucky stuff.

Music, Movies, and Books

I've already written a bit much, and this would take waaaaay too long.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

(oops, I wrote this and then saw "one"). Going to leave it as I wrote it. Beautiful hearts of people exposed through their music, their writing. Beautiful scenery in many places including Venice/Rome/Positano Italy, Sydney & Hunter Valley Australia, Jamaica, Bermuda, Bahamas (plus many in California, Colorado, Washington DC, Northern Virginia, MD), etc.

Teach, Learn, Share

All kinds. If I learn only from the same "kind" of people, than I won't learn very much.
