One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In Haifa, Israel, at the Baha'i Shrines, I heard the voice of a friend from Hawaii as he read a passage from his favorite book during a special ceremony to commemorate the death of the Founder of the Baha'i Faith. I knew at that moment that his soul was fulfilled. He died not long after.

I gave birth to all three of my children in Russian hospitals in Moscow during the 1990's. I am sure that I am the only American woman to have done that.

We were visiting Mt Rainier National park in August and saw a doe nursing her baby in the middle of a small meadow near the trail.
