I have just returned to Australia after an amazing 18 months trip overseas. I like to think of my self as open, honest and relaxed, but sometimes down right ridiculous and immature... I love to have a good time and not take myself so seriously.
I travelled most of 2011 and 2012, and have had some amazing experiences and met some amazing people and now that I am not moving anymore, don't want that to stop. I absolutely love travelling, love music and am always planning when I can get to the next festival and be with my friends around the world. I believe that meeting and talking with new people opens your eyes and your heart to new concepts, beliefs and I love that my opinions and beliefs are constantly developing and changing through these experiences.
You have brains in your head,
And feet in your shoes,
You can steer yourself,
Any direction you choose.
And when things start to happen, don't worry.
Just go right along, you'll start happening too.
Oh, the places you'll go!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Have absolutely enjoyed all my couchsurfing experiences. The people you meet and the stories you share are priceless.
Travel, food, good beers with new people, live music and festivals/gigs, giant cups of tea, cooking, strolling markets, shopping up a storm, bizarres, culture, psychology, sociology, being a little unsure of what is around the corner, board games, teaching, photography.
- board games
- live music
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Teaching English in Turkey was the most amazing thing. An amazing country with thick culture and history. The people are friendly, generous and whole heartedly welcoming.
Otherwise, the travel lifestyle brings amazing things all the time! Little things like becoming familiar with the local tea/coffee shop man (even if you only stay in the area a night or two) to hiking the Inca Trail, seeing the Taj and all the 'typical' travel highlights. Mostly, the people and their stories along the way are the most amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
I LOVE cooking. I am always scouring the globe for new recipes and ingredients. I would love to learn how to cook YOUR favourite dish or a traditional dish from your culture, and hope I can exchange one of my favourite recipes ....
Also, I really would like to learn how to play chess. Have no idea how. And card games. Have an awesome pack of cards, no games to play with them!
Share?? Stories. And lots of them.
