To learn understand the nature of this planet and of humans and do it so through empirical means and with respect to all those I encounter in my path.
I am 35 going on to 36 very soon and for those that might care about these matters (I know some of you do): I am Piscies and Snake in the western and Chinese astrology! I live with my girlfriend in a rather small apartment in the outskirts of Budapest. I talk about different subjects and I appreciate being challenged to think differently. I like to travel and to learn from everyone. Photography is a recently acquired hobby of mine but I'm still fighting to go above the average tourist photographer level. When I sit back and relax I like to contemplate on the different patterns that seem emerge across the different scales of the universe and in different life forms.. crazy, I know, but I can't help myself :-)
Everyone is my teacher.
I would like to believe that one's thoughts are not ours, but that they are more like elements that we transiently incorporate, like a step in a staircase in which we touch as we go up (or down).
We owe nothing to each other except respect as equals.
To take action is the only way to test ones ideas, one cannot be detached from the other.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Well.. I live in a very small appartment (40 m2) and I sleep on a sofa.. it's a sofabead, but still a sofa. Because of this I hardly think I have the means to accomodate anyone, but go ahead an contact me in case you would like some company in Budapest.
I have received friends of friends in the previous places where I lived, I have also welcomed people that I met while travelling in my home country. But with respect to couchsurfing.org or simillar I have no experience at all. I hope this is something I will be able to change soon.
I like hisotry and philosophy (and travelling is a good way to explore both), photography and cinema
Music, Movies, and Books
History: The trilogy by Daniel Bornstein “The Creators"; "The Seekers" and “The Discoverers”
Philosophy: “Treatise of Human Nature” by David Hume and “Darwin's Dangerous Idea: Evolution and the Meanings of Life” by Daniel C. Dennett.
Romance: “Crime and Punishment” by Fyodor Dostoyevsky and “The Book of Disquiet” by Bernardo Soares (Fernando Pessoa’s heteronym)
Poetry: The works of Fernando Pessoa, Mario Cesariny and Al Berto.
“Waking life” by Richard Linklater
“Dogville” by Lars von Trier
“Clockwork Orange” by Stanley Kubrick (my favorite director)
I’m a sucker for sci-fi movies, with a decent storyline and cool special effects I easily get hooked.
Radiohead, Nick Cave, Fado (Carminho, Camané),...
