Overview
About Me
I lead birding and natural history tours for a living, mostly to the American tropics. So when I travel, my expenses are usually paid for and I haven't actually been a couchsurfer yet. And since I'm away from home a lot, I haven't been available to host any either. But I'm starting to do a bit more personal travel and look forward to meeting more like-minded travelers.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Some German friends of mine told me about Couchsurfing about 4 years ago, and it sounded like a great idea.
Interests
Mostly natural history (birds, herps, critters, and plants), but also music (I play piano and enjoy choral singing), cooking, gardening, and knitting.

Music, Movies, and Books
I mostly listen to classical (of all kinds), but a lot of modern and popular stuff makes it into my playlist too.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I made six pies for a Christmas family gathering last year.
