About Me

Enjoy the hell out of life! At this exact moment, find a place in Buenos Aires, give all my love to a lovely woman, work with kids and learn Spanish

I'd like to think that I'm a fairly pleasant and polite young man born with most of the social graces of the Canadian stereotype! At least that's how I try to act. Some people might say I'm open minded, relaxed, caring and thoughtful, with an enjoyable energy and love for life. Some might say! I've been travelling South America for the last seven months and am planning to stay for a few months more as well.

Live a good life, easy!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would love to surf while I'm travelling and eventually host once I return home

I have very little couchsurfing experience through this site but I have certainly enjoyed the use of a friend's couch on multiple occasions!

I'm obviously a big fan of travelling and I also love people. It's difficult to say what really grabs my attention and makes my life engaging since I'm a big fan of a lot of things! All of the common likes are there: delicious food, good beer, music, film, good books during hard rains and kind people. I would really just have to say that I appreciate anything that is true and genuine.

Music, Movies, and Books

The movies I most enjoy are the ones that really hit you and linger for some time. The shutter islands and what not ("is it better to live as a monster or die as a good man?" boom.). But I certainly enjoy a good comedic affair as well! Maybe a little bit of romance? Both comedy and romance? Together? I'm not ashamed. I like horror probably more than the next guy too. More or less anything that's good. Which I realize is entirely objective and each person has different criteria to meet to qualify something as "good" but come on, you know what I mean. Music is similar, if it sounds good, has a good beat, makes me feel something other than just vibrations in my ear, I'm happy. The Black keys are pretty high up on my list. Books are pretty hip too, as long as the prose are clean and honest I'm happy!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've seen one or two amazing things in my relatively short life but the most recent awe inspiring moment I had was during an impromptu four day boat cruise with four great people on a petrol tanker in the Bolivian amazon. Came way too close to death too often before and after for my liking but it added to a great twenty day unguided and, some might say, ill advised adventure. Amazing time.

Really just the last seven months have been pretty damn awe inspiring. So I'll go with that!

Teach, Learn, Share

I would absolutely love to improve my Spanish. My goal over the next four months I'm spending here in BA is to gain fluency in the language. So if you can speak Spanish and English, refuse to speak to me in English unless I'm making a fool of myself and bastardizing your language! I can obviously help with your English too
