About Me

To enjoy the second half of my life with more travel.

We are an older couple that likes to offer a bed/couch/room to people from the emergency forum that are stuck without a place to stay. My wife is one of 13 kids in her family so we are very use to hosting people and always look forward to it.

"Build a man a fire, keep him warm for a day. Light a man on fire, keep him warm for the rest of his life." --Terry Pratchett

A true friend will see the pain in your eyes while others believe the smile on your face.

Do you tell jokes to make people laugh or to make them think you are funny? That question answers a lot.

The early bird catches the worm but the second mouse gets the cheese.

NEVER argue with an idiot, they'll only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

I think everybody should get rich and famous and do everything they ever dreamed of so they can see that it's not the answer. - Jim Carrey

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

While we aren't as likely to accompany our surfers while sightseeing, we never want to see someone left without a place to stay while in Boston. We often take larger groups that have harder times getting spaces.

One thing that interests me most is when couchsurfing comes up in conversations with friends and families, how many say "Why would you allow strangers to stay in your house?" My immediate thought is "Why WOULDN'T you do that when given the opportunity?" **Boogle**

Helping people so effortlessly, experiencing new cultures and perspectives, sharing, growing, what more would you want from life?

I love the saying "There are no strangers, just friends we haven't meet yet. Couchsurfing facilitates those meetings.

Family, travel, movies, reading, Society for Creative Anachronism (medieval reenactment group)

I love scent induced memories, especially from campfires.
