6 months into a 12 month bucket list road trip

ABOUT ME

I am 63 years young married for 40 years to a wonderful life partner Marcia. No kids, we are both dog lovers, non smokers, and LOVE to try new foods. We had our own import-export business and lived out in the country on 40 acres near Sequoia National Park. We had pigs, cows,orchard, pond and built our own log home and business at the same time.

After our business I taught college business classes in Santa Barbara,Ca. where we have our home.

We were both blessed to retire at a young age and enjoy traveling in our self-contained 20 foot RV.

We are traveling the East coast and learned about couch surfing from a lovely couple we met while in Murrells Inlet S.C..

PHILOSOPHY

We both use the Golden Rule as our compass.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Marcia and I have raised 2 guide dogs, volunteer for the food bank, and the Santa Barbara Zoo. We also are members of the Elks and Moose lodges.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Still a Couch Surfer virgin at this time.

US History, Colonial period, civil war, and western expansion time periods. Love 18th century, and flemish art. Learning new things in most any subject and trying new foods and meeting new people.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I enjoy most any music depending inthe kind of mood I am in. From Duo-op, blues, jazz, zydeko,, and classical. Though Rap has never pleased my ears.

Movies, from Veronica Lake, to Sherlock Holmes ... most any story well told I seem to enjoy and get something out of.

Books all kinds, both fiction and nonfiction. Favorite author would be Louie Lamour .
