ABOUT ME

hmm.. what to say about myself??? well i was born in ukraine. i moved to new york when i was 3 years old. all my life, i have been open to different kinds of people. i have friends from all different ethnic groups. when i meet people for the first time, the only thing that really matters to me is their personality. so, i guess i would say i'm a pretty open person. i am shy when i first meet people, but i am very easy to talk to. for the most part, i am very calm, which can sometimes seem like i'm nonchalant, but i do take a lot of things in life seriously. i really love learning languages and learning about different cultures. that's my biggest passion in life. before i die, i want to feel as if i've truly explored the world. for now, i have just graduated from my university with a degree in asian studies. i have studied chinese for 3 years. in september, i plan on going to taiwn to study chinese for a year. that all for now, i guess. =)

PHILOSOPHY

i think that everyone should just be a good person to those around them. i firmly believe in treating others the way you would like to be treated. also, i think you really have to keep an open mind about everything because life is very unpredictable.

Music, Movies, and Books

as for movies, i like documentaries, artistic films, as well as any non-american films. my favorite move is 2046. lately, i've been listening to a lot of spanish music, but other than that, i like techno/trance and any other music that sounds good. i've been reading mostly books about buddhism. when i'm not reading those kinds of books, i love reading haruki murakami's books.
