ABOUT ME

Ack! ok, I am terrible at this kindof thing... um... I think my friends would call me... um... probably all that ridiculously stereotypical stuff like "smart, fun, funny, outgoing," ug. But that just sounds... um... eck?
I donno, I'm kindof eccentric, I've always had my own drummer so to speak. I've never let life get in the way of my passions! I am a firm believer in fallowing ones heart & living life with passion!
I am a strong leader, and have a vibrant stage presence, but can easily stand back & give others the limelight as well. I tend to be strongly opinionated, but enjoy listening to others opinions too. I am a very caring & compassionate person, & have a difficult time understanding people who aren't. I like to be very conscious, on many levels, I think that awareness is an essential tool for living life beautifully. I believe that we create our worlds, and I like the way I create mine!
I think I probably have a rather colorful personality, but in a good way. (I hope!) In contrast though, I can also be very reclusive & reflective. I've often described myself as a social hermit. One thing is for sure though, I am a very unique individual!

Interests

Boating! Boating boating boating! I am a 13th year raft guide & tend to spend every boat able day that I'm not on the water working, on the water playing! Be it in a raft with my daughter Charlotte &/or friends, out hard boating [canoe &/or kayak] with my amazing & wonderful other half Alan, or simply down at the local play hole with the whole family. Rivers are my ultimate passion!
Also though, I love Skiing! (gets me through the off season with bliss!) Oh, & hiking, camping, exploring... and playing music! (I am a Scottish style fiddler & do the guitar/vocal thing.)
Oh, & most importantly... Mothering!!! I am blessed to be the mother of the most amazing 4 year old little girl in the whole world ever! Ok, ok, I know I'm bias... but really this kid rocks! As my kid, she has been dragged along on adventures since day one, & is now a rock solid black diamond skier (no power wedge, parallel turns,) a class III rafter, a seasoned camper, aspiring fiddler & pretty darn good pianist, and beginning kayaker! Oh, & a right proper princess as well, of course!
So yeah, that pretty much sums it up... Rivers, mountains, music, & my girl! (oh, & a bunch of hippy stuff like eating well, being super artsy, environmentally conscious, & just generally conscious.) :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

oooooh... many moments in my life have left me awestruck! I have been blessed to have many amazing adventures & moments in my life! I'm not sure if I could pick just a couple! Although yesterday, tearing up steep & deep powder with my not quite four year old daughter was pretty blissful! I've traveled far & wide fiddling for my supper. I've run so many amazingly beautiful rivers in amazingly beautiful places. I've traveled with my thumb. I've slept a halloween night in a ring of standing stones. I've performed with my musical heroes. I've held my new born daughter after three days of labor. I've changed lives in a half day raft trip. I've even been deported... yes, life is a beautiful adventure!
