ABOUT ME

I'm an only child, white male Taurus who has learned that the world does not revolve around my every word. I've lived in San Francisco, Milwaukee and Chicago; soaking up all those cities had to offer. I'm now living in the town I grew up in and learning more and more about myself every day. I like a good cup of local coffee, good thrifting and art of all kinds. I wouldn't say I'm a Buddhist, but I am a true believer in the power and beauty of Zen. I consider myself an artist; visual and performing...but I have two ears and one mouth and know when to use each respectively. I would call myself queer. Given that my sexualtiy is is not "the norm"...?, I've chosen to define my life on my own terms and really look for that quality in my friends. I have been HIV+ for almost 14 years and believe silence equals invisibility. No worries, my health is good and so is my skin:) I respect others and do my best to honor their point of view, searching for the "light" within them. Namaste. Don't get me wrong, I have a quick wit and don't always succeed in my quest, but I try. I like carrot cake, brush my teeth twice a day, drink plenty of water and snore...sorry 'bout that. I don't smoke cigareetes, enjoy a good cocktail on occassion and I love my Mom.

I have just joined and plan to travel and host when I can. I also cut the recent article out of the NY Times and posted it at my local coffee shop letting others know about CS2.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

CouchSurfing is an old friend. During my time in San Franbcisco, I made some great friends who have moved to other parts of the country. I have visited them and been fortunate to spend soem time on their couches. And floors. And tents. Didn't really like the tents.

Interests...? Hmmm. Life. That interest me. Human behavior never ceases to amuse me. Movies(mostly smaller venue stuff), art of all kinds, thrifting, riding my bike, walking a great city, museums, Project Runway...oh yeh! and good conversation.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

MOVIES. 5 that I could watch more than once: Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Before Night Falls, Terminator, Blade Runner and The Wizard of Oz. MUSIC. 5 that I like to listen to often: Rufus Wainwright, Interpol, TV on the Radio, AIR and Julie London. Don't get me wrong, I like some booty music too...BOOKS. Last 5 I read: Little Children, The Road, Middlesex, a Lama Surya Das book...forgot the title and a graphic novel that explained Nietzsche.

TEACH. I have been fortunate to learn the true meaning of ZEN; of living in the now. I would be willing to teach others how by example.
LEARN. I'd like to learn more about how others live; from their living quarters to their favorite piece of architecture, their favorite museum to their favorite local "crazy" person...it's all good.
SHARE. My time, my laugh and my falafel. OK, so you really can't get a falafel in Kenosha, but hey...there's some kick ass pizza.
