My wife Deb and I live an hour's drive from Melbourne on a 20 acre (8Ha) bush property in a mudbrick house that we built ourselves. We have lots of wildlife like kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, echidnas and occasional koalas.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We have backpacked around the world twice, to New Zealand and different parts of Australia. We are definitely budget travellers. We love meeting other travellers and have made many friends over the years during our trips.
I like outdoor pursuits (especially surfing) and sports (especially basketball). Both Deb and I like visiting wild places. Deb likes yoga and photographing birds, butterflies and orchids in their natural environment.
Music, Movies, and Books
Favourite music: Jimi Hendrix. Favourite movie: Blues Brothers. Favourite books: Ten days that shook the world, Red star over China & Bury my heart at Wounded Knee.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most extreme thing I have done is going down the Zambezi River on a boogie board. You can read about other adventures I've had on my website www.wipeout.com.au.
Teach, Learn, Share
We have travelled to every part of Australia and we have lived in remote aboriginal communities, so we have lots to share about our own country.
What I Can Share with Hosts
We are both trustworthy and reliable. I can turn my hand to most household repairs.
