About Me

Hello! I'm new to this whole couch surfing scene so be kind.

I'm a (relatively) recent graduate of Mechanical Engineering, who currently works as a project Engineer. After giving this enthralling career a go for a couple of years, I'm deciding to jack it in and do something I've always wanted to do. Travel and experience the world. And what better way than experience it with the people of the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would like to experience places as a traveler and not a tourist. Couchsurfing provides a platform to immerse yourself within a culture unlike any other form. An opportunity to experience living somewhere and not just going on holiday to somewhere.

Interests

In no particular order, but just so happens to be first...
Food! - I like to give most things a go, which doesn't always turn out well for me.

Travelling- I love experiencing new places, but unfortunately until now I have only be able to go shorter trips. Now I have a bit more time and I've saved some money up I'm looking to do a lot more exploring.

Music - it's a fairly generic answer but who doesn't like music! I enjoy going to gigs and festivals when I can and even an open mic night every now and then (not to perform myself of course, I can't sing).

Sports - I enjoyed to play football and golf when I can. I'm also a big fan of watching most live sports.

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC
Generally a fan of most music. Rock, Chart, House, Indie and quite fond of anything acoustic.

MOVIES
Wouldn't be able to name my favourite movie but if I were to name a few I have enjoyed recently they would be: Gone Girl, The Good Dinosaur and Mad Max.

BOOKS
Naturally, I am a fan of travel books, like Hokkaido Highway Blues and The Lost Continent. Other books I have enjoyed recently are Rapture, For Fukui's Sake and The Wasp Factory.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you'd like to learn how to play the guitar at a mediocre level, I'm your man. Otherwise I can only share my experiences.

I'm interested learning languages, specifically Japanese and French.
