I'm pretty young, but I grew up in Missouri on a farm. I spent my time riding horses (and falling off), taking care of chickens, gardening, boating on the lake, and exploring our land with my siblings. I attend Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri. Our claim to fame is that our campus was the location of Winston Churchill's Iron Curtain speech. We also have the largest standing piece of the Berlin Wall in the US and the oldest building in North America. I'm a tour guide at school, so the facts roll right off the tongue. I'm currently studying abroad in Northern Ireland and traveling around Europe for the semester!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As I travel around Europe, I want to get an authentic taste of the culture and customs of the areas I visit. What better way than to stay on someone's couch and hear their stories? I love hearing about others' adventures and I'd love to offer my couch in order to make your travel experience the best it can be!

Interests

I love cooking and experimenting in the kitchen! I spend a lot of time exploring outdoors and capturing the beauty of nature through photography. I'm really interested in different business models and how companies successfully run their operations. I spent last summer interning with Aldi and was totally hooked on business (which is probably a good thing because that's what I'm studying in school). I adore animals of every kind and I'm always the one to stop on hikes and ask to pet a stranger's dog. I"m also really into sports. I was a three sport athlete in high school and I now play social sport every season for organizations on my college campus!

Music, Movies, and Books

I really enjoy poetry of any kind, especially when performed at local open mic nights and at cafes. I'm obsessed with the band Bowling for Soup, like, I know pretty much every word to every song. Other than that, I like anything with a good beat, jazz, and classical.

I love any romantic comedy, anything with Johnny Depp, and anything with Jennifer Aniston. I grew up watching musicals with my mom and can sing along to any Rodgers & Hammerstein movie. My all time favorite movie is Kiss Me Kate!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I ran a half marathon in the middle of September and it was an awesome experience! I'd been training on and off and it was totally amazing to be able to run 13 miles in a row without stopping. I also went paragliding in the Swiss Alps and thought I was in heaven!
