About Me

ABOUT ME

Mostly, from other people I hear that I'm full of energy and enthusiasm, warm and open. I think I can't disagree.

For me living means moving on in all the senses. I start wilting if I don't. But it doesn't mean that I'm overactive or that I never stop. I feel the necessity to take a break to reflect, puzzle out the experience I have had and then I get back to track :)

Do value sincerity and proximate communication. Enjoy communicating with people, living dynamically, creating diversity in life. Besides spoken language I usually use my body to express my feelings and thoughts (heritage of dance experience I think). I mean I do move a lot while talking with somebody including myself :D (and if I don't, then something is wrong with me). Of course it depends on the person you compare yourself with - in my country most people are more reserved.

Prone to be in this moment in a spontaneous and playful manner as well as to know and analyze life (the world, people, myself).

Sensitive with a combination of inner and outer strength. Don't fancy the feeling of being tensed, but sometimes tension comes as a guest who was not invited. Still looking for the remedy for that. I think it can take a while, or even a long while, or I´ll have to accept it like it is :)

If you are still reading, so...as always the most important things happen in the end...the most important part is written below here :)

I have only one life and you never know when it can end, so I want to experience my life fully. Even if I make mistakes, even if I don't succeed, even if I feel uncomfortable, ridiculous or scared. I don't care. I want to taste and feel every moment of my life

PHILOSOPHY

A person is a knot of relationships, so live to make worthy connections with others and to realize your potential.

It's better to try than to miss an opportunity and regret later.

You do what you can and accept the rest like it is.

There are as many worlds and as many truths as there are people on this earth. What is more, all of them keep on changing! Be open, respect and cherish each world and each truth.

Happy are those who breathe ligthly, rejoice simply, think and feel freely

Music, Movies, and Books

Too many diverse works of art I do like to list them here. OK, I'll try enumerate some of them.

Non commercial (not from Hollywood I mean, I think :P) films caught my attention after watching "Amelie from Montmartre" when I was 15 or 16 years old. I was moved by this delicate and subtle movie. So I keep on...:)

The last movie I was very pleased with was "Mar Adentro" ("The Sea inside") by Amenábar.
Amm...so many movies..."La vida secreta de las palabras" ("The secret life of words"), "Abre tus ojos" ("Open your eyes"), "Gordos", "Princesas", Precious", "One flew over the Cuckoos nest", "Between your legs", "What's eating Gilbert's grape", "My blueberry nights", "Adams aebler" ("Adams apples"), "Gegen die vand"("Head-on") , "Little children", "Nothing personal", "Factory girl", "Breaking the waves", "Dancer in the dark", "Mi vida sin mi" ("My life without me")"Requiem for a dream", "Life is beautiful"...and so on...

My musical life started with a combination of Beatles, Mercury, Mozart and Bach (and others of classical music) in my early childhood. When I was 3-4 years old, I started dancing every time the record of Beatles was playing at my home. So here I am - in love with music and dance!

At the moment I'm listening - Nouvelle Vague, Bonobo, La rue kétanou, Damien Rice, Ashram, Leon Somov & Jazzu, Deolinda, Gotan Project, Joaquín Sabina, Kings of Conveniece, Quantic, The Limp twins, Balcanbeats, Groove Armada, John Mayer, Koop, Kuba, Morphine, Stanton Moore, The xx, The Quantic Soul Orchestra, Andrius Mamontovas, Cateano Veloso.

When I was a child I got hooked on all the books of Astrid Lindgren (of course translated into Lithuanian). Still remember the best one for me - "Emil of Lönneberga". I think it had a great influence on my flaming character :)Authors like Hermann Hesse, Oscar Wilde, Kafka, Kamiu, Remarque, Balys Sruoga, Škėma, Kazys Boruta, Granauskas accompanied my growth, and I definitely appreciate them for that!

Books I've read lately: Finn Skarderud "Uro: En reise i det moderne selvet" ("Anxiety: Wandering through modern self", all the books by Irvin D. Yalom...also I fancy Garbiel García Márquez, Manuel Vincent "Son de Mar", Luis Mateo Díez, Antonio Muñoz Molina "La ausencia de Blanca"...etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

People coming out of their shells. Opening themselves to experience the world fully. Becoming stronger and more mature than they were. Wonderful!
