ABOUT ME

Hello everybody, I'm Robert, 32 years old and living in Utrecht, The Netherlands. Six years ago I got infected with "the travellers disease" during my 10 month trip around Oceanië and Asia. Since then I've been longing for more... In recent years I've spent about two years on and of living in Uganda and also visited South Sudan to make a documentary.
Currently I'm living in Utrecht where I'm making film as a freelancer and also working as head editorial for a documentary platform.

By joining couchsurfing I hope to meet some interesting people from all over the world and through their stories broaden my vision on the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well I'm kinda new to the whole couchsurfing business, so I cant't really share an actual couchsufring experience. I got acquainted with it through a friend who couchsurfed the States last year not too long ago. What I do know from my travels is that you always experience the country you're visiting the best when you actually try to integrate with the culture and the people. I think couchsurfing is THE way to do that! On my next trip I will definitly couchsurf my way around!

Interests

Meeting other people, having some drinks and party, play the guitar, watch a great movie, music, interesting discussions, sports, adventure, travel etc.

Music, Movies, and Books

Oe, that's a difficult one.... I enjoy many artists and movies. Here's an idea. Music: The Doors, Bob Dylan, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Jim Croce, Ben Harper, Jack Johnson, Eels, Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, Paolo Nutini, Otis Redding, Red Hot Chilly Peppers, Smashing Pumpkins, Robbie Williams, Xavier Rudd. And from time to time I enjoy Metal, Punk and Hardcore music as well as dance music like Techno and Drum 'n Base.
Movies: Donnie Darko, Fight Club, Pulp Fiction, Lord of the Rings, Into the Wild, Road Trip, everything with Ben Stiller, Will Ferrel or Adam Sandler, the Green Mile, Sin City, documentaries, American Beauty, Million Dollar Baby, too much to mention really...
