About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To be as happy and fulfilled as I can possibly be :)

ABOUT ME

Hello. I'm 20 years old. I grew up in a small but nice town in the north of Portugal, called Viseu. For 18 years I lived there with my parents, my brother, my sister and my grandmother. At 18, after I finished high school, I decided I wanted to be a professional actor so I moved to Porto and joined the Superior School of Music and Performing Arts (Escola Superior de Música e Artes do Espectáculo - ESMAE), where I studied for 2 years, before I moved to Lisboa, where I am now on my third and last year of studies at the Superior School of Theatre and Cinema (Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema).

I always liked to travel and discover new places, but as you may know, things are not easy to a college student far from home, economically, I mean... But I hope that with you help, I can start exploring this world :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Regarding movies, I see a loooooooooot of films, but here are some that I really love:

- The Piano
- La Vitta è Bella
- Sophie's Choice
- La Vie en Rose
- Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
- Un Long Dimanche de Fiançailles
- Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain
- The Last Station´
- The Harry Potter saga
- The Lord of the Rings saga
- Corpse Bride

And the list could go on and on!

As for music, I listen to a lot of genres as well, from musical theatre (Wicked, Les Miz, Rent, Spring Awakening, Cabaret, Chicago...) to jazz (Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra...), from french music (Edith Piaf!) to our typical portuguese Fado (Amália Rodrigues), not forgetting the likes of Nina Simone, Aretha Franklin, Adele, Amy Winehouse and the one and only Mr. Freddy Mercury :)

Books: well... all the work from Agatha Christie, big fan of "murder mystery". There's also Jorge Amado, a brazilian writer who wrote my favourite book, called "Seara Vermelha" ("Red Field"). And currently I'm making my way through "A Song of Ice and Fire" ("Crónicas de Gelo e Fogo", here in Portugal). But I'm still on the second book, "A Clash of Kings" ("A Fúria dos Reis").

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Oradour-sur-Glane, France:

Oradour-sur-Glane was a village west-central France that was destroyed on 10 June 1944, by a German Waffen-SS company. It was left untouched after the massacre and it is very painful to see. I'll never forget that place.
