About Me

CURRENT MISSION

want to promote Dialogue - "Restorative Justice"/ "Family Circles"- FGDM

ABOUT ME

When we talk.
Just finished lecturing this semester. Plan to go to Italy,London and Japan for a longer period to appreciate the culture and mentality with which I am not familiar at all. Since living in a conflict area and an optimist that peace will reach our region one day, I want to prepare the grounds and learn from Post-Conflict communities e.g., Japan has a "history of past conflict" with its region and I understand that China "remembers" - I wonder the effects of this on the future.. . Would be happy to talk and meet members of CS!I love nature and walking and keen to meet people to learn from other perspectives.

PHILOSOPHY

Be happy with what you have and try to achieve a bit more..

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have enjoyed previous couchsurfing experiences (not through this site) through people I met in trips and they were very good!

Interests

varied and curious of most things

  • culture
  • walking
  • socializing
  • history

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-Snorkelling in the Red Sea among corals.
-Seen in one session amaizing positive results of mind/body work.
-Witnessed a Traditional Bedouin "Judgement of Justice" in Sinai, in which part of the process involves touching the "accused" tongue with a red hot iron to verify his guilt or innocence!
-Participated in a Candomble session in Bahia-Brazil
-Saw Sufi spinning in Istanbul
-Tracking in the Negev

Teach, Learn, Share

I would be happy to exchange experiences (explain about Restorative Justice to whom it is of interest,- really it is a social movement) on conflict resolution at many different levels; I particularly like to emphasize the importance of Family and the need to avoid cutoffs - Family Circles is an excellent way of preventing deterioration in Family relationships, and possible in many more instances that we believe..
