ABOUT ME

Well I have just moved to Bournemouth from Calgary, Canada where I spent the last 6 years. I've come back to follow my dream and experience something new while I'm at it. I'd love to meet people in the area as I know no-one and am constantly getting lost! But onto the description - Honestly, I'm not very good at describing myself as it's all down to perspective. 'Beauty is in the eye of the beholder' as it were. But to give a brief description I'd say I'm pretty down to earth and I like to listen to people and learn all about them - in fact sometimes I probably ask too many questions :P I am very motivated, which goes hand in hand with being stubborn. If I want something then I will do everything I can to succeed. I am very straight with people and don't enjoy being taken for a ride, however I like to think I have a broad sense of humor. I'm pretty laid back and down for absolutely anything. I'm also a hopeless romantic but you wouldn't know it just from looking at me. I'd love to meet new people and learn everything I can!

PHILOSOPHY

Adversity introduces a man to himself.

I don't believe in giving up. I believe in enjoying life to its fullest at the moment you are given because you never know when it could be taken away. Strive to be the best you can be and learn from your mistakes. But never give up or lose sight of what you want.

None! Well, I'm currently surfing my aunt's couch for the time that I'm in Bournemouth so I guess I have a little experience!

Interests

People interest me. It's great to meet new people and get to know what they enjoy and learn all about them. But aside from that,I love music, I can't go a day without listening to anything and everything. I enjoy good movies, good food and great company. I could talk for hours on just about anything and love to do just that. I'm a sucker for beautiful scenery and the night sky. Growing up in Calgary, Canada you'd find me in the mountains doing just that. Honestly, I enjoy just about anything with or without company. I'll just as happily sit down and read a book as I will go for a walk with a friend and talk about the world.

Movies - Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind, American History X, Black Hawk Down, Hurt Locker, Fight Club, Requiem For A Dream, American Beauty, 500 Days of Summer and lots more!

Music - Anything and everything although I'm not a huge fan of super heavy screaming metal.

Books - I am currently reading 'Wearing the Green Beret' a book about the Royal Marines as that's my future occupation. But I have recently read, A Long Way Gone, The Long Walk To Freedom, The Divine Comedy Of Dante Alighieri (Dante's Inferno). I'm also part way through Atlas Shrugged.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I haven't done much traveling over the last few years so I'd have to say that one of the most amazing moments I've had was as simple as a camping trip with friends. Sitting around a fire, talking, joking and just enjoying each-others company without a care in the world.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm not super well versed in anything particularly, but I guess I could teach English if you needed? If you're trying to learn something then I'd more than happily attempt to help and maybe even learn it myself.
