About Me

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am taking a year off to travel and finish writing my book. (Cliche', I know.) I am doing my best to create my own version of "Eat, Pray, Love" except I'm releasing excess weight put on by complacency, I prayed professionally for thousands of people over my career so I feel pretty 'prayed up', and I am currently single. So I'm basically on the "Don't Eat, Don't Pray, and I'm Sorry, You Want to Do What?" tour. Otherwise known as a mid-life crisis. But heck, I've ridden a massive warmblood across the hills of Ireland, drank some crazy good whiskey and danced a jig, took Italian language and cooking classes, sang Ave Maria accapela in a cathedral, seen a lot of beauty, and I'm only in month 2. I wonder what other crazy life experiences I can create by the end of the year? Dear friends shared with me that their most memorable experiences were making new friends through couch surfing. Since I am solo traveling, I would love to connect with a local to possibly go play and create some great memories with...get the authentic local experience. I am a second generation California beach local, so I know the difference between tourist and local beaching.... But if you are the quiet type, no worries, I can chill and just do my thing.

Interests

Great conversation over good wine or a meal. I love cooking vegetarian dishes but can also cook a mean filet from time to time. I grew up on the beach so I am a fish. "I can pull off a wicked karaoke song and will get you up there, too. Art Galleries, Music, Theater, Horseback Riding, Spirituality, Quantum Physics, Alternative Healing, Psychic and Paranormal Phenomenon (I see dead people--well, a lot of other non-physical stuff, too. But I don't have to talk about it if it creeps you out. I have been known to freak flight attendants out however, in exchange for free booze. Lol). I usually don't lead with this information as it can be received in a multitude of ways. Don't worry, if I am not working, I am quite normal.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: The Physics of Miracles by Dr. Richard Bartlett, Emerson's Essays by Ralph Waldo Emerson, Everyday Grace by Marianne Williamson, Resurrection by Neville, What God Wants by Neale Donald Walsh, Yes, You Can Change the World by Aman Motwane, Radical Forgiveness by Collin Tipping
Music: Not much I don't like except heavy metal.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I sang the US National Anthem live in front of 9,000 people and broadcast live on ESPN to 11 million people. That was a rush.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have taught over 1800 people how to sing, thousands of folks about spirituality, Psychic Development, Mediumship, Horsemanship, Acting, and produced musical and theatrical events. I founded and managed a spiritual non-profit organization for 14 years.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Kindness, graciousness, compassionate listening, fabulous fresh, organic cooking (solo or team), inspirational and captivating story telling, adaptable, respectful, easy going, fun.
