I'm Robyn.
I'm 24, originally from New Zealand. .. My home is in Melbourne, Australia, where I have lived for almost 3 years and work as a gallery assistant, photographer, and fine art printer.

I used CS a couple of years ago when traveling in Europe alone and it was great - met some really fun, interesting and smart people, a few of which I still keep in contact with. Its the best way to experience the non-touristic parts of a city :)
This time round, I'm traveling around the USA meeting up with friends along the way, and exploring both the West coast, Mexico and the East coast!

I'm pretty loose with plans and always open to things changing for the better so I only like to plan up to 2 weeks in advance - keeps me on my toes ;)

Anyway, I think I'm a considerate, adaptable, curious and easy going person - I'm really into photography, cinema, music, architecture.. going out and discovering new parts of the city.. talking with people from different backgrounds and cultures fascinates me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

At the moment I am traveling in the US so I know couchsurfing will be one of the best ways to meet people that I never would have otherwise, and explore unsuspecting areas of the cities I'm in. . . I think its a positive for both sides as the hosts I've met have discovered new things about their own city in the process :)

My first trip to Europe on couchsurfing was very exciting, interesting and unexpected! Lots of funny experiences and times I'll never forget... keen to give it another whirl and I know it will be completely different.

Interests

I love photography, film, fashion, music, reading, exhibitions.. basically art in general! Exploring anything from the local galleries and cafes to a new country altogether... I like bike riding, picnics, relaxing with a highball after a hard day at the office, trying new food and wine, engaging conversation, and of course, good coffee..
