ABOUT ME

I am an outgoing guy based in London but brought up around different parts of the UK. I am a Lighting Design Student working mainly in the theatre. I am a Photographer as well. Really enjoy meeting new people and seeing new places (obviously)

PHILOSOPHY

I put my faith in people, in the goodness of people.
The things that bring my soul and body closer together are Music (listening to and attempting to play), Theatre (Working in and experiencing), Photography (Taking and Admiring) and Travel, I live for the moments where these things come together in good company.

I believe in self reflection, meditation and enjoy all theological discussion, though do not believe that any religion has got it quite right.

Politically I would describe myself as actively left wing.

Non through the website so far, new to this, but in less formal ways a few times through friends of friends etc :) Regularly camp. don't need any luxuries, just somewhere to charge my camera battery every 48 hours :)

Music is so important to me, I especially love Etta James, Bruce Springsteen, Janis Joplin, James Brown, Billy Bragg, The Clash, Vintage Trouble, The Temperance Movement, Cat Stevens, Leonard Cohen, Joni Mitchell, Jimmy Cliff, Toots and the Maytalls, BB King, Haim, Fran Turner, The Strypes, Johnny Cash, Supertramp, Leonard Cohen, Duke Special, Fleetwood Mac. Seen many of these live.

'beautiful ruins' 'the cuckoo's calling' 'Jane Eyre' 'Pride and Prejudice' 'One Day' are all favourites along with Shakespeare and music biographies. Currently I am reading Clarence Clemons Biography (Sax player for Bruce Springsteen) and 'Rebecca' by Daphne De Maurier and 'I Am Malala'

I am a lighting designer by trade but also do freelance Live Music/Events and Travel Photography, Happy to teach photography skills, share photographs, gift portraits of people I meet.

I can offer discussion, debate and in depth knowledge of the British Theatre and Performing Arts Scene (Especially London)

I am always willing to share my english writing and speaking skills.

I can play a small amount of guitar and I have just started learning the Tenor Saxophone, and when travelling may pack my mouthpiece and a couple of reeds in the hope of learning from those who can play.

Would love to learn more about modern socialism and the political history in other parts of Europe.
