About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I am an outgoing, fun-loving Englishman who loves the cultures of other countries & the creation of lasting friendships. I can make time to show people around using it as a holiday for myself! I have a mad (in the fun sense) side!

ABOUT ME

I lead a very young lifestyle for a mid-'40s guy. I still play the occasional game of rugby and people say that I am a very loyal and generous, fun person to be with. I like to show people around my country and to share culture.I have a wide range of interests and prefer to be with genuine people with no ulterior motives.
My ex-Californian fiance was quite an influence on me as she enrolled me in to some interesting courses in L.A. including wine appreciation and aromatherapy (all for her benefit!!)
I am told that I am very generous and seem to have a ball with people of all ages. I have a nice house with plenty of room and facilities for a guest.

PHILOSOPHY

Don't be sad, just go mad; live for today; try anything once (within reason!)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music, music, music. Everything from Demon and Santana to Vivaldi and Pachelbel, though Jazz confuses me. I studied for 8 years and read so may business books and financial books that reading takes a back seat these days. Love the films Love Actually, Notting Hill and Four Weddings

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, the most amazing thing is hopefully yet to happen. A total eclipse was awesome (though the effect was slighly dimmed by poor weather); driving a rally car was fun and playing in an International Schoolboy football challenge was a good memory; a charity parachute jump was fun, I was amazed to land more or less where expected and still be in one piece (and near a pub!!)

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a Squash and goalkeeping coach; I love the history of the UK and live close to London, Windsor, Oxford, Winchester and have links to my home County of Devon (with its great countryside and beaches). Plymouth was where I was born and I have family and friends down there. Dartmoor National Park and a great coastline make Plymouth a very good place to visit. I go to Plymouth once a month at least. I lived in The USA for a time and having had a few foreign girlfriends and friends I have enjoyed learning the culture of their countries.
