I'm currently part way into my gap year. I've just traveled through South East Asia and I'm now embarking on 5 months in New Zealand. Traveling has made me love meeting new people all the time. I could talk all day about food, the Harry Potter books/films are my medicine, tell me a bad joke and I'll love you forever.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think getting away from the backpacker crowd and meeting local people gives travelers a better idea and experience of where you are.

Interests

Food, both eating it and getting scientific about it. Science in general. Music, ranging from metal to irish trad (of which I can actually play on a tin whistle). Right now I'm really interested in this travelling thing.

Music- Right now I'm loving Alt-J and Edie Vedder. My long term loves are Tom Waits and Ben Howard.

Films- The Harry Potter Series, Juno, I'm Not There, The Motorcycle Diaries. Too many more to list!

Books- The Harry Potter series (of course), This Charming Man by Marian Keys, The Hobbit (that I fittingly read just before I came to NZ), Mr. Nice.
