About Me

Open minded french guy willing to see more of this world!
From the south of France (the best part^^), now living in Paris. I lived in Japan for my masters degree and met a bunch of really cool people there, that changed my life. Since then, it's hard for me not to travel, so I'm trying as much as I can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meet ,share, Have fun with people.
Life is made of encounters. I believe in karma, and I'm trying to be nice and friendly to people. Most of the time I get it back!
I'm hoping to take my own appartment next year, for the moment I'm flat sharing, I'll see how I can mange to receive someone one day!

Interests

Sport : football, squash, table tennis, and jogging. I used to do some martial arts, I might do it again next year, I'm thinking about it!
Music:
Hiking: I climbed Mount Fuji in Japan, I'd like to climb Corcovado in Brazil, and always willing to climb something with a good viewpoint!

Music, Movies, and Books

Electronic music, Reggae/dub, Drum n bass, Hip hop, Jazz, Rock, and samba. Isn't that enough?
Lots of books, lots of tv shows (Breaking bad being the best ever!) and movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-I climbed mount Fuji last summer in Japan. That's me on my profile pic at the top. Damn it was hard.
-When I used to live and study there, we also went with three friends in Okinawa, sleeping in mandarake ( place where you can read manga for all night) to save money (student life) and lost ourselves on a small island and sleep on the beach! That's a pretty cool memory (except the night it rained!).
- I used to live not far from ''sainte victoire'' in the south of France, a quite popular mountain, well known for being painted by Paul Cezanne and Picasso. I did climb it of course, but also I've become quite the expert of the place, since I used to hang out there a lot during my free time. Kinda Sherpa, if you know what I'm sayin' :)
- I'm volunteering every year for a famous french electronic music festival in Lyon : ''nuits sonores'', might be one of the biggest in-town festival in Europe (I mean, it's in town, for real!) I met a lots of artist, it's pretty cool eventhough they for sure do not remember me!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can obviously teach you French and French culture :) My English is pretty good for a French guy, and at a point some Japanese, even if I lost a lot of skill since I've lived there 5 years ago.
Honestly, I do not pretend I can teach you something, but I'm pretty sure we can share a lot, that's enough!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm well known for being smiley all the time (after my breakfast coffee at least), so it's hard to tell something except that I'm always someone to laugh with, and I love cooking (french stereotypes can be real :)).
I'm also rarely moving without a lot of music on me (my phone, my mp3 , my computer...) so that, at least, i can promise : we will exchange a lot about music!
