Hallo Moin! My name is Romina and I moved to Reykjavík at the end of the summer of 2013 to do a Masters in Medieval Icelandic Studies. After two years of busy studying, that is, drinking way too much coffee, I have recently finished my studies .... and am now trying to figure out what I wanna do with my life, or, at least, with the next few months. Other than that, I am spending my days working in a coffeehouse, trying to become better in Iceland and enjoying the privilege of living in this oh so nice little town.
Of all the words of mice and men, the saddest are 'It might have been.'

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The first time I couchsurfed was in Sweden and Norway in 2009. After having lived and worked in Stockholm for a while, I decided to see more of Scandinavia, packed my things and got on the train. I was only 20 years old this summer and not sure at all if I would manage traveling alone - but doing this was probably one of the best choices that I have made so far. It was great days!
I like seagulls, appletrees, tattoos, book stacks, light strings and coffee // Reading and Writing // Travelling // YOGA // Spending times with my beautiful friends // Having a beer or two // Getting to know other cultures, new people and languages
Music, Movies, and Books
I love love Motown, Northern Soul and all that jazz, but I also really like Efterklang, Beirut, The National, Grizzly Bear, Beach House, Real Estate, to name but a few.
My favorite authors are George Orwell, Kurt Vonnegut, Paul Auster and Haruki Murakami.
