About Me

to be calm and open for learning and growing

Please - Do not be discouraged by my responding percentage. Living in New York, I would get several request every day! Turned answering requests into a full time job. I'm usually a little behind!

I'm Veronika Fae (with a K)
Weather doesn't affect my clothing choice.
Pluto is still my favorite planet.
Sometimes I steal fake flowers.
If I want to do something amazing, I'll do it.
I like adventures.
I like to roll down windows on the highway even if it's raining!
I'd rather not wear shoes.
Spontaneous singing makes me happy.

I can do anything.

But usually I chose adventuring, driving, hooping, music-ing, food-ing, and/or dancing.

No matter how often I log into CS, I realize that this section is outdated. And is also something better shared over a stream of consciousness than captured in time in written language.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I learned about surfing for the first time the summer on the way to the 2010 Pennsylvania Rainbow Gathering. It was life changing. I can't wait to settle into the next phase in my life, so that I can return the favor to fellow couch surfers.

If I'm with surfing for an extended amount of time, I insist on helping with cleaning, cooking, and story telling. Unless you have a complex when someone touches the dish soap, expect me to be helpful.

Couchsurfing has become another vessel to meet like-minded individuals. We're all friends here.

I've couchsurfed a little, hosted a little more. My experience is always broadening.

But this is everchanging, ever expanding. I look forward to my future experience.

I'm majored in musical theatre, sooo my interests are correlated. Singing, dancing, acting. I also play violin, piano, and the guitar. I'm interested in circus and performance arts and love to hula hoop.

I love art in every form. It's the ability to express things for which there is no nomenclature. Music makes a large contribution to my time, but I also sketch and work with mixed media. I love to create with others, it's a time to bond.

Music theatre has enabled me to travel, and in doing so meet others. It provides intimacy, experience, and the ability to be apart of something. I love learning about people, their motivations, values, about who they are without our materialistic distractions. Which is part of what makes me so excited about couch surfing.

I'll try anything, and I pride myself in being someone who can usually find contentment.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

That's a tough one.
I'm proud of myself for becoming who I am, so I think that's something amazing.

When I was 7, I donated all my stuffed animals to a homeless shelter.

My most recent adventure was climing to 13,000 feet elevation to Loch Lomond and Ice Lake. North of Idaho Springs, Colorado. I hiked by myself, and camped there as well. It was a journey for me, both physically and mentally.

This is also one of those sections that is constantly (thankfully changing.) I'm going to continue adding.

The disaster of Hurricane sandy is definitely up there in amazing to see. Waves on the sidewalks, boat cars, lawn sailboats, and army-grade food packages. But later, giant trees uprooted, and times when neighbors were more helpful then the city officials. shoveled sand out of houses for days. Quite amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have many interests and skills, not all our relevant to each situation or individual. I'd rather there be an exchange.

I'm studied performance arts, as is my job. But I have many other skills.

I'm especially interested skill sharing herb/fungal nutritional and medicinal knowledge.
