ABOUT ME
I am a Medical Lab Scientist at Trios Health but will soon be traveling across the US for work. I am a bit of a fitness guru and enjoy helping others with their fitness goals. I am a bit of a neat freak but I'm not OCD crazy. I've done some traveling but not nearly as much as I would like. I have visited Honduras as a volunteer through Unite for Sight where I helped bring eye care to remote communities in dire need with no financial means of paying for optical services. Before leaving I collected 500+ pairs of reading/sun glasses to donate and collected $1000 for the program. We worked with a local Honduran eye clinic and helped over 1500 people in a period of 2 weeks. I was very pleased with my volunteer experience and would like to continue to travel as a volunteer. I like the idea of helping ohers while I exploring the world.
PHILOSOPHY

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Interests
I enjoy talking with people about their life experiences. Some people have some crazy stories that just blow my mind. If I get lost in conversation, anything else in that moment does not matter.
I enjoy most genres of music.
Going out for drinks is always fun. A simple get together with a beer or a mixed drink in good company is hard to beat.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to a wide range of music from alternative rock to country to hip-hop/R&B. I play bass, drums and guitar. I also enjoy a wide range of movies although I prefer to doing other things in social settings. Im pretty laid back and enjoy most things in good company.
I like books that make me think and surprise me at the end. Not much of the sci-if genre-type guy tho.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I took a trip to Central America as a volunteer and got to visit the Mayan Ruins.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you about microbiology which includes bacteriology, virology, parasitology, and mycology...I am not an expert but have a general sense of how things work. I also know a bit about hematology, study of the blood. Basically, if it's health related, I can keep the conversation going.
I would like to learn about the outdoors. I didn't grow up fishing, backpacking, climbing, etc. But for some reason I have an interest in becoming involved in such activities. I've been camping a few times and its a great feeling to get away from everyday-life and enjoy nature's beauty.
