I currently live in France, teaching English, but mostly exploring the country and cuisine! But staying in and baking with some wine and a tv show is also how I spend my time...

I studied math, but had no idea what I wanted to do with it, so decided to go to France. I have always been interested in teaching, so found the opportunity to teach in France excellent, and and also using it to help me decide if I would like to become a math teacher in the future.

I love languages and traveling, and wish I were better at learning more languages. But I love trying!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like most music, though my students are always disappointed when I say I do not like rap. My favorite artists currently are Banks, Florence + the Machine, and Bastille.

Picking a favorite movie is also hard for me, especially since I had a summer job at a theater and saw way too many movies. My top favorites include Spirited Away, Harry Potter, Up, and She's the Man. And I'll likely love any movie that can give me a good laugh.

Harry Potter, The Book Thief, All the Light We Cannot See to name a few... Simply put, I love to read and cannot simply choose one favorite book.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

More interesting rather than amazing, I was 14 I climbed Mt Kilimanjaro.

Though I can come across as shy and reserved, I love the culture of couchsurfing that invites strangers to get to know one another and share one's home and city with travelers.
