About Me
So as you can probably see I'm from England. I am currently traveling New Zealand, and have been for the last two months. I have fallen in Love with this place. It's so beautiful and I have had the time of my life. I have made some amazing friends while here who I got the pleasure to travel with for most of the two months. We met on the Kiwi experience bus from Auckland and headed South. When we got to the bottom of NZ, three of the friends and I hired a camper van and then headed back up North, stopping off at some amazing places and found the most beautiful places to camp out for the night.
I've always wanted to come to NZ and had thought about coming for years before I actually did it. The perfect time came up; my job was naturally coming to an end and many of my situations changed so I had the perfect opportunity to do it. But I had no one to travel with, my friends were either in a good job, long term relationship, having children ect. I was adamant that I was going to do this, and I thought it was now or never. So I decided to do it solo. That decision was the biggest, scariest and best decision I have ever made.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As I said I am currently traveling NZ and plan to carry on traveling heading to Australia when I'm done here, then Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam - just to name a few while making my way home. Once home though I'd like to do Scotland and Ireland and then head over to America! So lots of plans for the future.
A friend told me about couch-surfing and said it's a great way to meet people, find great places to stay and really get to see the area.
Meet new people around the world.
Inside local knowledge on what is around.
Cheaper alternative way to travel.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I have a very broad taste in music - anything from Punk, Rock, Classical, I like some stuff in the charts, Acoustic. Im pretty open to anything and I'll give most things a listen. I wouldn't be able to choose my favourites either as it tends to change quite a lot - one week I might like and be into one band/song, whatever, but then the next it might be something completely different and new.
Movies: With movies, again I will give anything a go and quite often I'm surprised at what I like and don't like. I enjoy classics like The Goonies, Forest Gump, Step Brothers, Patch Adams. I like newer films like all the Avengers and DC movies. I like a bit of Disney. I like comedy - anything to really make me laugh. So yeah... I'll give anything a go and make my own decision on it.
Books: Now with books I just couldn't pick my favourite - it's like asking a mother who her favourite child is. I like books that can capture me. One's that can suck me in and surround me and make me completely forget the outside world. I like to get lost in books and love finding a book that is so good and well written that even while I'm not reading I'm thinking about it.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I think the most amazing thing I have done is go traveling on my own! I know it's probably not a very big deal for many people and people travel on their own all the time, but for me it's so far out of my comfort zone. It's so far out my comfort zone my comfort zone is a dot (miles and miles away. A little Friends quote there - who doesn't love friends?!)
