I am the mother of 3 adult children; ages 37, 32 and 27. I taught French and Spanish for 34 years in a High School and at the university level. I retired on June 30, 2008 and have been traveling.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Traveling is what keeps me anchored. I have been traveling since I was 13 years old. I am intrigued by other people and their way of life. I love to learn about other cultures. By the way, I am a great fan of travel shows on TV. Also, I read the travel section of the newspaper, religiously and that's how I found out about "Couch Surfing".

I am a "people person." I just love to meet people from all over the globe. I am always interested in learning about other cultures. I participate by making my condo available to those who want to know about New Jersey and the Haitian culture. CS is like having a friend, whom you haven't met yet, in every country of the world. So, I am on CS hopefully to meet with HIM/HER AND THEM.

I am not a fan of movies. I love soft music; any kind. However, I love to dance Latin music, especially meringue. I am an avid reader and will read anything.

Yes, I can teach someone to speak Italian, Spanish, English and Creole.
I'd love to learn an Asian language. I am fascinated by the Japanese language. In the future, I plan to take a Japanese class.
