make a Kung Pao Chicken BBQ Burrito
I am oscillating between burying myself in books and getting out of the ivory tower to enjoy life, love, and nature. The one thing that combines both my desire to understand the world and wanderlust is travelling to meet interesting people in far away places, and so I'm trying to do this as much as I can. My wife Sarah and I are currently living as a kind of floating population, in transit between countries, and we're loving it.
I'm a PhD student in International Relations, which gives me a lot of excuses to travel around - it's called "field research" ha. In my non-nerdy time I love to go hiking and dancing, everything from salsa to electronica. I recently bought an ukulele and it turns out that jam sessions with fellow travelers and locals are so much fun! I have a feeble for activities that I'm not rich enough to actually do: sailing, scuba diving. Making S'mores under the California night sky is my new hobby.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Dancing electronic tango in an occupied synagogue in Buenos Aires was a memorable moment. Singing Japanese anime songs with a Korean black belt master and Brazilian mormons was awesome too. The most magic moment of all was in Patagonia, while climbing a snow-covered mountain we could see the full moon set and the sun rise at the same time. All of these things happend with fellow hospitalityclub/couchsurfers by the way. :o)
