ABOUT ME

I was born in Kolkata and still call it home though I have lived there only 5 years. I travelled all my childhood as my father was in the army and like a typical Indian I love inviting everyone home.
My husband loves animals and is forever bringing home lost causes of every description. My son loves music and the computer. I enjoy meeting people.The first contact I had with people outside my country was during an exchange programme for my school at the age of 36 but instantly I knew that I was a citizen of the world and could connect with anybody. I love my friends across the world and hope to make many more

PHILOSOPHY

Religion of humanity. I think I have only control over my action and not over results so focus on working hard and not feeling sad when things do not go exactly according to plan. I like a laugh and a good time.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would like to entertain guest in my home to typical home indian food bengali style not like restaurants because I like cooking. I can offer a couch though my home is small we have lots of space in our heart.
We could offer travel advise and set up hosts for you in other parts of India too.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

My friends in Germany organised the most amazing trip for me and I particularly like the visit to the Salt Mine in Kali und Salz and my students performed tradition Indian dance Kathak to German Brass Music at the Festival in Bad Hersfeld Ruines. It was the most fanstastic experience of team work and delivering a high quality programme.

Cooking Indian food if you wish. I could do Indian out of anything in a western supermarket and if anyone hosts me I could teach them that.
Basic Hindi.
I do lot of training delivery on what collaborative learning can be done between school students in two countries if anyone is interested in that.
