About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Ad astra per aspera.

ABOUT ME

I'm a 21 year old University student, about to start my final year at Harvard University. I study a combination of economics, political science, sociology, history, and anthropology - a social science smorgasbord. I'm currently working on my thesis.

I'm new to CouchSurfing and excited to join!

PHILOSOPHY

"The struggle itself toward the heights is enough to fill a man's heart. One must imagine Sisyphus happy." - Albert Camus

"Sie Gerecht" - Franz Kafka

Interests

I love tv comedies! I'm also a swimmer and I love to exercise - though when traveling, this often means walking all over the city.

I enjoy reading and watching movies. When travelling, I like to take time to learn about the history, architecture, and artwork of a city or culture.

I'm a big fan of language learning (as most travelers are) and I try to learn as much of it as possible when I am staying in a country for an extended period of time.

I collect antique books, coins, and artwork. This stems from a combination of the love of their history and a penchant for frequenting flea markets.

Music, Movies & Books

To chose a favorite, or even a group of favorite books is like choosing a favorite molecule of oxygen or a favorite cell in my body. Though I will say that I enjoy literature, as well as history, mystery, and critical essays.

I love movies! My favorite is Casablanca, though I really like most movies.

I really enjoy collecting music from the places I travel to or through. I have some great Papuan New Guinean Tok Pisin pop, Makedonian indie rock, Serbian folk music, and much more. I'd love to share with you! My favorite music is classic rock, blues, and modern indie singer songwriter types.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

I worked for a summer in Papua New Guinea. There's nothing like living 10 hours from the nearest medical facilities and living off of fresh raw fish.

Countries I've Visited

Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Macedonia, Montenegro, Puerto Rico, Serbia, Singapore, Spain, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, Vatican City State, Virgin Islands, U.S.

Countries I've Lived In

Papua New Guinea, Turkey, United States
