About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To get off my own couch and realize my lifelong dream of travel, starting in the US to see small town america and meet my country-mates.

ABOUT ME

I'm a long-dreamer of travel and writing, neither of which I have indulged in until now. Female, early 40s, no kids, large extended family. Been told I am easy to get along with and very likable-in fact that's been labeled my best quality (kind of sad I think). Intelligent, hate politics but love learning about the world. At this point in my life I don't care so much about being right as much as I care about being happy. I don't have a fight to fight although I do have opinions.

I'm a really good cook. I love cats and dogs and I would imagine I would like other furry creatures so long as they don't bite me - just haven't had the exposure.

I've never been on a farm. I have seen farms on TV. I have always lived in the city and would like to experience something out of that reality.

PHILOSOPHY

I haven't settled on a philosophy yet.

Music, Movies, and Books

David Sedaris books I love.

I don't keep up with current music so I am stuck in a sort of 70's 80's time warp. I do not own an Ipod - I am way behind the times technologically - but I do notice music in the background and make determinations on how I feel about it.

I like feel-good movies, chick movies, and movies based in foreign places. I am addicted to an american show called House Hunters International because, along with the housing possibilities, you get to see glimpses of life in other countries.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Swam in the cenotes in the Riviera Maya jungle. The water was clean, cold, clear, and the sight was a pool plus underground cave for exploring. I've never experienced anything like it in my life.

Toured the back work area of a hotel/bar on Lake Garda Italy. We got back to the hotel late one night so the nightkeeper had to let us in. He then took us on a private tour of the back areas, the kitchen, etc....all the places that were off limits to tourists. For some reason this memory has stuck with me for many years.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach?: I have no idea.
Share?: Local hidden San Diego
Learn?: Want to learn about the lifestyles of people who live anywhere outside of Southern California. I feel like I live in a make believe world sometimes.

Countries I’ve Visited

Italy, Mexico, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
