ABOUT ME

Basically, Im on the hunt for inspiration, which could range from camping dirtstyle in front of a dream wave or kicking back on a couch watching smoke and digging the relaxation before sleep sucks me under. I can enjoy it all. learning stokes me out.
Most of all though, I love to surf, its gives me passion and fuel and is semi religious to me. I am fascinated and overjoyed by all the different euphoric feelings that surfboards and waves can produce when blended well. i see Music in a similar way, but i spend less time doing it. skateboarding is also a true love of mine and i still do it all the time to get my errands done around town.
teaching or helping people with these three passions is also something i really like doing, as it reignites my excitment for them too.
I actually love working, so long as I'm making, fixing or improving something, or working in nature.
I love to adventure, i love to see and hear and experience. as my wise grandpa wisely noticed, i am a cataloguer of experiences, constantly referring back to them to shape myself. therefore id like to make a big catalogue.
i am simple, dont need much, not even coffee, but i like that when it comes.
i love blankets and curling up.
i like reading and writing and love having a good journal session when i have the energy or inspiration.
i like to see the world in a good light, in different lights, but i must be real in that i sometimes see it in a dim light.
i dig cooking A LOT. im alright at it but learning how to cook new dishes is one of my favorite things to learn!
I Love Mexico and my friends.
I'm in an ever deepening relationship with my guitar and I do love to sing, wail, or sometimes just murmur.
i believe in the power of dancing, singing, proportions, discipline, art, rhythm, patience, ups and downs, and love.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

met two other CSers in Mexico, itwas all GOOD!
Have hosted a number of CSers in SD now and love it! Always good to keep the traveling spirit alive while at home. I have a killer cozy house that is a shame to not share with others.

kerouac spunks me up. i like herman hesse, altho he makes me think too much sometimes. Hundred years of solitude was amazing. Neruda stings my heart and makes me want to write! Steinbeck hits the nail on the head for me. Thich Nhat Hahn, very poignant.
pulp fiction, 70s surfing vids, waynes world, austin powers quotes all the time.

Hip hop, jazz and soul and R&B, 70s rock, gay 80s movie songs, electronic stuff, reggae, latin, anything authentic that you can sit on a porch and really listen to.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-The Pharcyde in SF, jumping 15ft into the air for beats, rhymes, (life?)
-being inside of a wave looking out thinking theres no way youre gonna make it and sticking to your guns and driving thru that damn thing like your life depends on it...and then making it.
-one moonrise bright as headlights in the Sierras. had breathing trouble.
