ABOUT ME

Moved to Cape Town in Nov 2009 from NYC where I worked at the UN on youth issues/public health. I quit my job in the city (moved here with my longterm bf) and am going for my Master's at University of Cape Town for Environmental Management. Looking to make some new friends in town-- locals or travelers...

I'm laid back, simultaneously optimistic and cynical, unpretentious, etc.

Interests

My hometown is an hour from the Rocky Mountains and I've grown up hiking, cycling, camping, snowboarding, etc. While I'm at home in a natural setting, I love big cities. I like to explore, am a big music fan (varied interests-- used to work at MTV in NYC and like pop music to country to hip hop, though not as much into bluegrass or Detroit rock genres). I just recently took up running (ran a half marathon at Niagara Falls oct 09) and am looking forward to doing some mountain running here in CT. While I do often like to carpe diem, I also enjoy being lazy (and often am), enjoying good food and drinks/good company.
