About Me

discover the world bit by bit

I am the elder of four brothers and as many other Gemini, my character is marked with several apparently opposed attributes and friends usually find amusing my inborn ability to be funny and serious, adventurous and responsible or bashful and on-going. Notwithstanding, I consider myself a positive, friendly, open minded, active and sensible person with a laid back attitude to life.

I love life and see no point in making it difficult to others. A motto that I stick by is the old "what goes around, comes around". Always worked for me!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I created this profile just few weeks ago and I look forward to surf during my first trip to the US! Wouldn't surprise me if I will start hosting a little after

None! ;) From some time now, the social side of every travel is becoming more and more important to me. So I try to interact with the people of the places I am visiting. Quite often those moments become the most rewarding and valuable memories of the journey. I guess that is the main reason why I decided to try to surf now!

I love music, technology, dinghy sailing and the opportunities life offers to meet new people and to appreciate different cultures through different traditions and cultural expressions.

Music, Movies, and Books

A personal favourite movie: "Blade Runner" by Ridley Scott. I recently enjoyed a lot Alfonso Cuaron's "Gravity". Best sci-fi movie ever?

An album: "Heartbreaker" by Ryan Adams, or maybe "Grace" by Jeff Buckley, or maybe...

A book: "Time To Go" by Stephen Dixon. I love short stories! Have a look:

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This June I sailed from Spain to France with two other friends. 400 miles, three nights on board and my best experience ever. Strong Northeast winds and the Atlantic Ocean quite busy for that time of the year. Never before I was in an offshore situation like that. The whole journey was tough and demanding but a real eye-opener for me. I have never seen the sea never so alive, strong and beautiful…

Teach, Learn, Share

If you are interested in intellectual property and new technologies I would be more that happy to discuss with you about these topics or, if you are a creator, I would be delighted to help you to understand some basic legal issues with regard to Internet and copyright, my main fields of expertise.

I enjoy manual labour. From carpentry to painting or from cooking to gardening, anything that may require attention and ability awakes my interest. I never miss a chance to learn new skills and to share with others what I know or how I do things.
