Until now I've been the kind of person who just sits back and dreams about the places that I would like to go, the things that I would like to do and the person I would like to be. I think that at some point, I stood up and decided that I was going to do/be/and see them all...

PHILOSOPHY

Too hard to word out any personal philosophy to introduce myself or to get to know anyone else... and new experiences always change your philosophy and thoughts.. but if I had to pick one, I'd say:
What you receive is what you give so treat people as you would like them to treat you.
We create the world in which we want to live by our thoughts, words, and interactions.
The moment is fleeting so cherish and enjoy it exactly as it is, while it is.
Make the best of every situation, take advantage of every opportunity, experience and learn everything you can, open yourself up to others, go with the flow, let it be.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

While I cannot offer a couch right now, I would love to meet anyone visiting Bologna for some coffee, wine, drinks, and conversation and explore the city I live in from an outsider's point of view.

Interests

Another tough one, but I'll limit it to what is catching my fancy now:
meandering about town, long walks, new places, old friends and new ones too, big museums and small galleries, movies, books, songs that I can repeat for myself, live music places and concerts, languages, day trips and journeys "across the pond", interesting conversations that challenge the way I see the world, good food, good wine and good company...

Music, Movies, and Books

Ohhh so many... but I'm open to suggestions!
Music: music soothes me, arouses me and everything in between. Currently obsessed with:
Bossa nova, Nina Simone, Nouvelle Vague, Patricia Kaas, Diana Krall, Pink Martini, Portishead, Manu Chao, Seal, Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan, Norah Jones, Ella Fitzgerald, Goran Bregovich ...
but i like most kinds of music and I willingly let myself influence by my friends and from you!
Movies: ...so many of them... I prefer not to list cause the favourite ones change according to my mood...
let's just say I prefer independent and low-budget movies.
Books: absolutely love books and read according to my mood.. among my favourites are Haruki Murakami, Pablo Neruda, Herta Muller, Ingeborg Bachmann, Heinrich Boll, Christa Wolf, Truman Capote, Emily Dickinson, Edgar Lee Masters, Ian McEwan, Simone de Beauvoir I can keep going... so it's better to discuss it if we see each other!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well... traveling, exploring new places with great curiosity and appreciation, making friends along the way. It may not sound that amazing to you, but it sure is to me.
