About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Moving from Auckland to Nelson. Returning to a path of practice - asana, good food, good ethics. Learning to teach yoga and give body work such as Thai massage.

ABOUT ME

Hi,
how do you describe yourself? It's like trying to see your own eyes!
I'm a traveler at heart, I love the freedom moving on to a new place gives me. I prefer to spend longer in one place and try and integrate with local life than see the sights at speed. I can't imagine living in one place for more than a year or so and hope to keep travelling my whole life.
The three things I need in life are travel, nature and yoga. If I miss one of these for too long I'm not happy but at the same time they are all I really need every thing else I can take or leave (except the obvious bare necessities;food, water, shelter).
I practice Patabhi Jois Ashtanga Vinyassa 5-6 times a week and hope to teach it in the future. I also try and live by the philosophy surrounding the practice. All day is practice.
I wish I had a healthy diet and hope to get ontop of that asap! I eat relatively healthy I just have a weakness for flat whites, cake and chocolate!
I'm vegetarian, have been since I was about 5 years old - my choice. But I'm not worried how others choose to live - I often have to cook meat at work.
I love animals and all nature. Love to get outside swimming, walking, climbing ...
I don't drink or smoke but don't mind if others do moderately- I don't like to be around drunk people.
I like my own company and am very happy in my own space but also love to meet new people and socialize. I have lived in caravans with work colleagues, shared dorms, a community of about 100 residents as well as WWOOFers, Oxford university halls whilst working, on my own and with a close friend. So feel I'm pretty adaptable to different living circumstances.
Generally I'm a happy person!

PHILOSOPHY

"Practise, practise ,practise, whole life is practise" Sri K Pathabi Jois
"What lies behind us and what lies ahead of us are tiny matters compared to what lives within us" - not sure
