I have never hosted or couch surfed before personally, but my mother had her fair share of surfers when I still lived at home.
My boyfriend and I live in a lovely flat in the south of Glasgow and have a very large and comfy sofa.

To find cheaper alternatives when travelling abroad, to meet new people and get a real sense of where I am travelling to.
