About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Life is about people you meet and situations you share. Be creative, be curious and get involved.

ABOUT ME

It's Rudina, always into meeting interesting and fun people, enjoying the simple things in life.
Easy going, nice and quiet. I can be a good listener and I like to share stories with other people I meet. I'm curious, generous and trusting. I have faith in the goodness of people, love engaging conversation, love learning new things, trying things out, building my own version of whatever is out there.

A lover of travel, food, fashion, books, and the beach. I don't claim to be an expert on any of it, just someone who knows what she loves.

My motto
Take care of the senses and everything else will take care of itself.
Have fun always, be present in the moment, practice forgiveness, laugh and cry and heal
The adrenalin and stress of an adventure are better than thousand peaceful days.

PHILOSOPHY

My philosophy is based on six main directions: freedom, self-improvement, regret, people and negative feelings.
Here are how I see them all:

The knowledge of our will, not to be slaves is only the first step in a long and tough journey towards freedom!!

Life is about polishing your inner diamond until you glitter brilliantly.

I regret not the things I've done, but those I did not do.

Learn to respect all kind of people because everyone is fighting a battle on their own. We all have our problems, bad sides and bad days, but there is so much behind it, behind me, behind you, behind everyone.
When somebody is nasty or treats you poorly don't take it personally. It says nothing about you, but a lot about them.

Only get angry at things that you can change, otherwise, it is just a waste of time. Use your anger to make changes.

Hope you understand my philosophy ... lol... I always follow my intuition

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because there are a lot of amazing people on Earth I would like to meet.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Giving, sharing and learning because they are fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness. Broad, wholesome, charitable views and things cannot be acquired alone and by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime.
To meet, smile, converse, and make new friendships with people of all genders, ages, or cultural backgrounds.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am getting a feeling of the city from within, not as a tourist and it's awesome to meet such kind, generous and interesting people everywhere, even in your own town. Not all meetings end up in friendships but all meetings end up with a smile and with new notions and insights to process.
I have encountered amazing people who have gone out of their way to help me. It made me realize that the old saying is true – you can always depend on the kindness of strangers. We grew up in this culture of fear in Albania that is unrealistic (during communism a foreigner is called an enemy). 99.9999% of the people in the world aren't murders, rapists, or thieves. There’s no reason to assume someone is one. Sometimes, people are just trying to be friendly.
I’ve learned more about the world and myself in the last ten years of travel than I have in the previous years of my life. No matter what happens in the future, I know that I am very blessed to have these last ten years, and I’m a better person because of them.

Interests

Traveling, meeting people, expose to other cultures, friends, reading, cooking, drinking and eating, going out, getting lost in the mountains or in the city as well, good vibes.

Always looking for new reasons to smile.
