I'm a vagabond at heart, stuck at a desk job to pay off college loans. I travel a lot for my job, but feel like all I see is the inside of identical Hampton Inns. That isn't travel for me. In order to say you have been to a place, you need to meet the people from that place. People make the place.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to Dubai last year, which is about as different from Maine as you can get. I spent 30 minutes climbing up (and my climbing I mean sinking and sliding and cursing) a giant sand dune. At the top I stood with with my arms around a group of people I hadn't know before and watched the sun set over this vast, vast desert as a group of camels crossed in front of us.
